3. Barrett Wins Back IC Title
Originally, this was going to be a down, but lets face it: Bad News Barrett needs the Intercontinental Championship more than Dolph Ziggler does. Ziggler should be past the midcard belt by now, and either way, he needs to stand on his own merits rather than having a title to increase his value and worth. Sure, if Dolph had a few memorable title defenses, it wouldve helped a little more, but its time to see if he can rise above the midcard. For Barrett, winning back the title he never lost is important to get him back on the right path. Earlier in 2014, Barrett was on a roll and looked to be poised to finally break through. Then, an injury derailed his push and forced him to vacate the Intercontinental Championship. That could have spelled the end for Barrett, but hes back and making another push. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk0zUMn2Uos Winning back the title helps, but WWE cant count on capturing lightning in a bottle twice. Barrett will hopefully reconnect with fans and start using his newly regained title to boost his stature. Lets just hope he doesnt start losing every non-title match hes in now which has happened before.
