5 Ways WWE Will Be Great Again In 2013

5. John Bradshaw Layfield

jbl The former member of the APA is the best thing to happen to commentary since Jim Ross was born. Since JR left the WWE they have experimented with replacing the King with a different heel commentator and each time they have failed miserably. Michael Cole during 2010/11 was a massive douche. He wasn€™t funny like the king and instead thought that burying the faces was the right way to go, This could work if you€™re the colour commentator but if you€™re the play by play guy, you have to appear impartial or at least understand that the babyface in any given match is who should get the most love. Either Cole didn€™t get this or someone backstage hasn€™t got a clue. For a while we had purely face commentators and it was OK until someone, a genius no doubt, thought that the former owner of the most disgusting clothesline would be gold on commentary. And by god isn€™t he just. JBL is smart, and that€™s the big difference between Cole and himself. Cole doesn€™t get wrestling to well but can juggle all the roles that come with being the number one guy at the booth. JBL can be the man who shows bias towards the heels without sounding like the face is weak and deserves to be shot. He knows what makes a wrestler great and constantly highlight€™s each performers best attributes whilst also letting people at home know little nuggets of information that are genuinely interesting. He is the perfect colour commentator and almost makes King obsolete. His promotion to RAW means that Vince must agree with all I€™ve said and with a guy as smart as JBL in our ears during the show, RAW and Smackdown are a huge degree better.
