5 Wrestlers Who Could Be Deonna Purrazzo's Mystery Opponent At IMPACT Slammiversary 2021

A key factor to Deonna's title run in IMPACT is that she believes herself to be the greatest Knockouts Champion in history. Needless to say, that needs to be backed up; for Purrazzo, that's not an issue.

The list of former Knockouts Champions is a who's who of all-time great female athletes, ranging from Gail Kim to Awesome Kong to Tara. An underrated champion, however, was Taryn Terrell. Reigning as the top knockout for 279 days, the former Tiffany redefined herself in IMPACT, prior to her time there officially ending on a whimper in September 2017.

Her work in the Dollhouse alongside Jade, Marti Belle, Rebel, and the aforementioned Awesome Kong was superb, as was her Last Knockout Standing bout vs. Gail Kim from the 2013 Slammiversary. Without doubt, the duo had one of the division's greatest ever contests.

These days, Terrell can be found on NWA programming. She's not officially signed, though, making an appearance at Slammiversary plausible. What better place to make a return to the promotion after four years away?

Your writer will admit that he's not actually seen Taryn's work in the NWA. Presuming she's maintained the ability (or improved) she had while she was signed to IMPACT Wrestling, however, a match vs. 'The Virtuosa' seems awfully tantalising.

Go back and watch Taryn's work between 2013 and 2015 on IMPACT Plus. Seriously. There's some insanely good stuff in there.
