5 Wrestlers Who Could Be The Joker In AEW's Casino Battle Royale (And 5 Who Won't)

2. Could Be - Paul Wight

Paul 'Big Show' Wight has been delightful as Tony Schiavone's commentary partner on Dark: Elevation. He provides a deeper insight that few other commentators actually can. For example, on the show's debut episode, he explained that a chest slap is designed to slowly wind an opponent en-route to an eventual victory.

This was good, as the majority of his other commentary work has been thus far.

So don't ruin it. Yes, Wight could be the Joker in the Casino Battle Royale, and yes, the live audience - and some Big Show stans watching from home - will likely lap up seeing 'The World's Largest Athlete' in the ring again. Quite simply, though, there's no reason for him to be there.

A Paul Wight match in AEW is inescapable at this stage, however, it must be the right moment, the right stage, and the right opponent. The former Giant shouldn't be slotted into this match for no reason. If he had beef with any of the announced competitors, then sure, fire him in.

Or, y'know, you could save that glorious first Wight bout in AEW for someone like Shaq. The NBA Hall of Famer has revealed he'll be wrestling again this summer, presumably for AEW. Save Wight for that, ideally on one of the Clash of the Champions-style supercards.
