5 Wrestlers Who Could Be The Joker In AEW's Casino Battle Royale (And 5 Who Won't)

1. Won't Be - Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan is not going to be the Joker at Double or Nothing 2021. Discussion over.

Seriously, though, much like Jon Moxley - and much like they should do with Andrade - All Elite Wrestling would be fools to waste Daniel Bryan's debut in the Casino Battle Royale. No disrespect intended to Matt Sydal's appearance at All Out 2020, but debuting in what is essentially a match featuring a host of low to mid-card lads doesn't exactly scream important, regardless of the fact that the winner gets a future World Championship opportunity.

Bryan is leaps and bounds above Matt Sydal's status as a professional wrestler. Again, no disrespect intended to Sydal, but he's hardly ever going to be World Champion one day. Daniel Bryan has already been there five times in WWE alone.

That he's reportedly a topic of discussion in the ongoing talks between WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling is irreverent here. Bryan should be done with WWE entirely. He's done literally all he can there, minus a Royal Rumble win. It's time to move on.

One day, he will add the AEW World Championship to his list of accolades, but it doesn't begin with a Double or Nothing debut.
