545 days.

Not much more needs to be said, Nigel McGuinness held the ROH World Championship for an incredible 545 days, defending it on 38 separate occasions. That is simply unprecedented in the modern era of wrestling.

McGuinness epitomised what it means to be a fighting champion with hard-hitting encounters against the likes of Austin Aries, Chris Hero and KENTA. His matches with Kevin Steen, El Generico, and Tyler Black helped establish them as the singles stars they are today.

Arguably, his absences due to injury, which were littered throughout his reign and initially frustrated fans, only served to enhance his untouchable aura as champion. He'd only fight when his body allowed, but when it did, you were guaranteed a barn-burner of a battle.

Much like other famously long championship reigns, McGuinness holding the belt for 545 days ensured his legacy and the ROH World Title's would live long in the memory.
