5 Wrestlers Who Regretted Inventing Wrestling Moves

4. Hulk Hogan - Legdrop

Unapologetic racist Hulk Hogan made millions of dollars smearing thousands of opponents with orange spray tan as he dropped his sizable thigh on their faces, yet today he acutely regrets innovating the leg drop as his finisher - if not a few other things he probably should.

Musing on his career during a chat with Chad Dukes in 2014, Hogan admitted his iconic finisher didn't really fit in with his strongman gimmick. Couple that with nine surgeries resulting from dropping on his 300lb frame to the canvas for over three decades - including multiple hip replacements - and you can understand why The Immortal One rues his shattered tailbone.

Coming over all philosophical, the Hulkster wondered: "When you’re working the gimmick (brother), and you’ve got the largest arms in the world, wouldn’t you use the sleeper?" After all, it worked wonders for great mate Brutus Beefcake.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
