5 WWE Hard Man Reputations That Were Completely Exposed

4. Goldberg

Look, there's no questioning that Goldberg is one tough son of a b****. Anyone who has played professional football at the highest level, then moved onto a career in the notoriously tough sport of professional wrestling, has to be. Goldberg has also trained in MMA in recent years and had a reputation in WCW as being somebody you didn't want to mess with. After all, just look at him. He certainly has the look, doesn't he? Not exactly someone you'd want to challenge to a game of fisticuffs. Chris Jericho, however, had a strategy other than throwing rights and lefts when the two got into a scuffle backstage at a Raw taping in 2003. The story goes that Da Man was offering a scathing appraisal of Y2J's in-ring performance from the backstage area and Jericho was none too happy when he found out. With pride at stake, Jericho confronted big Bill about what he had said in the locker room. Instead of an apology, Jericho found himself with Goldberg's hand wrapped around his throat. Fortunately for Chris he was able to apply a submission hold (a variation of a guillotine choke/chancery) and immobilise his much larger adversary. The two men were separated but Goldberg couldn't let it go and punched Jeric...no, wait, sorry. He didn't punch him in the face. He actually pulled his hair. Jericho responded with a slightly more manly pie-face and called him an 'ass****' (to which Goldberg responded that Jericho's mother was a 'f***ing ass****'). Hey, had to try and save face somehow after being humbled by the wiry Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah in front of the boys.
