5 WWE Heel Turns That Need To Happen Now
4. Bobby Lashley
Go back and watch Bobby Lashley's sit-down interview with Renee Young on Monday's Raw. There was a quiet confidence about him, almost as though he was deliberately coming across as condescending or knowingly quirky. It was not the usual "my dreams have come true" WWE interview.
Young didn't look totally in control either, and that's a good thing. The potential is there to use that unnerving style to turn Lashley heel and show more of his dominance.
When teaming with a larger powerhouse like Braun Strowman, Bobby's own physical presence sinks into the background a little. That's not ideal when his character depends on how seriously fans believe he can beat another man up; next to Braun, Lashley is second in command.
WWE are shooting themselves in the foot by positioning Bobby as Braun's laid-back partner. He's a wrecking ball in his own right, and it's time that came out. His heel run in TNA should have clued WWE in that Lashley is most effective when playing a smug, elite athlete.
