5 WWE Heel Turns That Need To Happen Now
2. Bobby Roode
Everything about Bobby Roode's presentation screams heel. The robes, decorated with an embarrassing amount of bling, his repeated shouts that he's "Glorious" and the smug way he walks to the ring with his arms aloft. That's a wrestling baddie, not the mid card babyface Raw's writers are trying to present him as.
Roode even excels when wrestling like a heel, but his natural aggression (something that's a key part of his matches, evidenced by parts of his lengthy TNA run) falls flat because he's asked to take punishment before launching a comeback instead. WWE seem to be missing the point with Bobby, and they're ignoring the fact he carries himself like a top heel.
They'd get so much more out of him if they took the shackles off and let the guy play a pompous git who believes his own hype. Isn't that perfect for the "Glorious" gimmick anyway?
Raw doesn't need another bland babyface, it needs someone to step up and fill the void left by The Miz's move to SmackDown. If WWE give Roode the chance to step into that spot, they may just find he's the right man for the job.
