5 WWE NXT Wrestlers Ready For The Main Roster (And 5 Who Should Stay Put)
9. Stay Put - MSK
Just over six months into their NXT tenure, MSK have barely put a foot wrong. Their matches are guaranteed fun, with Lee and Carter exhibiting exceptional athleticism in every encounter, and they have a feel-good story and real-life friendship that makes them the kind of babyfaces you can’t help but get behind.
One can only imagine how quickly those good vibes would get flattened and forgotten on the main roster. There are a handful of solid tag teams, and MSK could no doubt have some super matches with the likes of the Usos, the Mysterios, the Street Profits - but all that momentum would drizzle away under the auspices of a head honcho who simply doesn’t care for duos wrestling.
The plight of the last team should be all the encouragement the current NXT Tag Team Champions need to stay away. Dawkins and Ford seem like the total package, but while there have been bright spots, they’ve spent an awful lot of time bowling with the Viking Warriors, or fighting Ziggler and Roode for about eight years.
Maybe one day there’ll be another tag team boom, and MSK can be a part of it. In the meantime, it looks a lot more fun on the black and gold brand.
