Wait, who? Don't feel bad if you're an MMA fan and don't recognize Ron Waterman's name. Also...don't feel bad if you're a WWE fan and don't recognize Ron Waterman's name. The mammoth sized Waterman had a successful run in the UFC in 2000, as it was starving to get back into the mainstream. After only dropping one of his four fights in the company, Waterman instead opted to fight for Pancrase and PRIDE FC, before trying his hand at pro wrestling. Pro Wrestling looked promising for Waterman, who, despite being in his late 30's, made it through Ohio Valley Wrestling, and nearly to the WWE roster. Waterman competed in pre-Raw dark matches with the likes of Brock Lesnar, Shelton Benjamin, and others. However, his foray into the WWE didn't work out, and he quickly returned to MMA, where he'd go on to defeat former UFC champions Kevin Randleman and Ricco Rodriguez. Waterman had a very underrated MMA career, and would have likely made it big in both MMA and pro wrestling had he been younger.
