"You people know who I am, but you don't know why I'm here".

What a line that was from Scott Hall on the 27 May 1996 Nitro. Fans knew Hall as the WWF's Razor Ramon, and he felt like a big get for WCW when they agreed to stump up the cash Scott was looking for. This was just the tip of the iceberg, but nobody knew that at the time. All they knew was that Razor was stringing everyone along with WCW's latest mystery.

Hall walked out whilst a match was in progress too, which further added to the idea that this wasn't supposed to happen. The announcers acted shocked, people popped, and even Steve Doll and Mike Enos (working as The Mauler) stopped dead in their tracks in-ring. What in the name of machismo was Ramon doing out there anyway?!

Scott using many of the familiar Razor mannerisms, including the put-on accent, would land WCW in legal trouble over the next few months, but it was essential that his debut was as close to Ramon as possible. Talk about making maximum impact.
