Smartly, Bisch took some hits to further the notion that none of this was planned. He bumped off the stage for Nash's powerbomb at the Great American Bash '96, and it sent shockwaves through the industry. If these Outsiders were willing to put their hands on a babyface announcer, then what would they do to everyone else?!

No-one was safe from this slow burn nWo takeover (even though the group wasn't called that quite yet). To his credit, Eric took the powerbomb like his life depended on it looking good. He put his trust in big Kev to take care of him, and Nash did. However, the ex-WWF Champ also flashed a wicked grin after laying Bischoff out.

Moments like this gave WCW that essential vibe. Fans began to realise they couldn't miss episodes of Nitro, Saturday Night or pay-per-view events. If they skipped them, then they might miss out on seeing something epic like this. Such tactics had been a part of Eric's savvy business plan for a while now.

He was aggressive, he was competitive, and he was willing to do whatever it took to make WCW a success. He was literally even happy to take some punishment along the way.
