50 Best Wrestlers From Each Of The United States

Kansas: "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr.

Birthplace: Kansas City, Kansas Some would probably place Bob Orton Sr. in this spot, and they would have a good argument. The eldest of the Orton wrestling family won a total of 25 titles during his career, spanning from 1951 and going all the way up until he officially retired in 2000, at the astonishing age of 71. However, Bob Jr. not only won a total of 27 titles in his career, but came along at a time when the NWA was booming with Starrcade, and then when the WWF expanded into WrestleMania. He appeared at both the first occurrence of both events, playing a prominent role at each. Throw in his additional NWA stint in the late-80's, as well as multiple appearances on WWE programming involving his son, Randy, and you have the clear choice here.
