50 Best Wrestlers From Each Of The United States

Missouri: Harley Race

Birthplace: Quitman, Missouri Many people would be expecting Randy Orton to be listed here, even with Harley Race's storied career, but even though Orton's roots are strongly based in Missouri, he was born in Tennessee. Had he been born in Missouri, you could make a strong case for him here, as he did win World Titles four more times than Race, among other things. Race is notorious for being one of the gruffest and toughest men in the history of the business, who lived in the perfect era for his no-nonsense style and work ethic. Race was largely responsible for putting Ric Flair over and turning Flair into the man we all know today, dropping the NWA World Title to him in 1981, and then again in 1983 at the first Starrcade.
