50 MMA Fights You Must Watch Before You Die

31. Ronda Rousey Vs. Holly Holm - UFC 193

Although she's been making waves inside WWE this past year, fans should never forget the rapid rise and fall of Ronda Rousey. During the early part of her career, the former Olympic judoka tore through the women's 135lb division, submitting or knocking all of her opponents in brutal fashion.

While most of her victories came via her patented armbar, there were some improvements in her ability to strike with opponents. The way she brutally knocked out Bethe Correia in 34 seconds at UFC 190 showed that she was still evolving and growing as a fighter.

However, it's one thing to out-strike Bethe Correia, but doing that to former boxing champion Holly Holm is a far more difficult task. Rousey found that out the hard way, as she got picked apart on the feet and practically humiliated by Holm.

Following an emphatic first round beat down, a desperate Rousey waded forward aimlessly, urgently trying to grab a hold of Holm and get the fight to the floor. Holm, however, managed to nullify all of Rousey's attempts before landing the fight-ending head kick that went viral around the world.
