50 MMA Fights You Must Watch Before You Die

28. Nathaniel Wood Vs. Josh Reed - Cage Warriors 86

Following his most recent win at UFC Fight Night 147, British bantamweight Nathaniel Wood has become one of the fastest rising stars of the 135lb weight class. Although casual MMA fans are beginning to find out about him now, Wood made a solid name for himself on the European circuit before he signed for the UFC.

The fight that really put him on the UFC's radar was his epic one round brawl with Josh Reed. Although Wood was the champion, Reed was undefeated and had finished six of his seven opponents leading up to his title shot.

The fight started cautiously, but it wasn't long before Reed rushed forward with a flurry of punches. Wood tried to weather the storm, but a seemingly endless salvo of shots had the champion flailing and trying to find his feet.

With Wood being close to being finished, Reed continued the onslaught in an attempt to end the fight. However, a last ditch straight right from the champion stumbled him. Wood rushed Reed, who absorbed a seemingly endless stream of power punches before the referee jumped in.
