22. Mirko Cro Cop Vs. Wanderlei Silva 2 - Pride: Final Conflict Absolute
Although Wanderlei Silva's time inside of the Pride ring was mostly dominant, there were a few times that The Axe Murderer wasn't the one dishing out the punishment. His most emphatic loss during his time in the promotion was against legendary kickboxer Mirko Cro Cop in the semi-final of the Pride Heavyweight Grand Prix.
While his wild style worked with the majority of his opponents in Pride, Cro Cop's own style of striking would prove to be Silva's kryptonite. By having a patient approach and using his experience as a kickboxer, Cro Cop picked off Silva as he rushed towards him repeatedly, bloodying his face and leaving the Brazilian completely flummoxed.
Eventually Cro Cop would land his legendary left high kick to Wanderlei's temple. The Brazilian crashed to the canvas, already out cold before his head touched the mat. It was a a great bout that proved that the Pride middleweight champion wasn't as unstoppable as fans originally thought.
