While on the topic of short matches, it’s worth mentioning the original record-holder for shortest Mania match, with Bundy squashing (literally) Special Delivery Jones in “nine seconds.”

In reality, the match lasted more than twice as long, but this was still cited as a record for 20-plus years. After this memorable match, Bundy was on his way to being fed to Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 2. He would then spend WrestleMania 3 beating up a little person, so Bundy’s first Mania moment is probably his best.

SD, on the other hand, would wrestle with the WWF for another five years without ever competing on another PPV.
