Closing out WrestleMania with a 60-minute Iron Man match is a risky proposition, but when you put two of your best wrestlers out there, you have the chance to produce something really special. That’s what happened at WrestleMania 12, when Bret Hart defended his WWF Championship against Shawn Michaels.

The match ended in a draw, with neither wrestler scoring a pinfall or submission. Hart felt that meant he retained his title, but instead was forced back into the ring for sudden death. It only took a minute for HBK to hit Sweet Chin Music and win his first world championship.
