Pros:

1. Still one of the biggest stars on the roster

2. An amazing promo guy and solid wrestler

3. Provided fans with some great moments, including his Rock Concert and mini-feud with the Hurricane

Cons:

1. It was basically confirmed that he was leaving for Hollywood at this point

2. Wasn’t as funny as he was during the Attitude Era

3. Started the trend of ‘part-timers’ becoming bigger than full-time wrestlers

The Ruthless Aggression saw a different take on Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson. He had returned to WWE after shooting a highly-successful Hollywood movie, and film producers were courting him increasingly. They clearly wanted him to act full-time, which is something that became a reality by around 2004.

In WWE, however, the Rock was as popular as ever, even if he was now a comic heel who mocked everyone around him at every opportunity. Still possessing the charisma and promo abilities that made him famous, Rocky provided fans with several enjoyable moments, from his ‘Rock concert’ to his mini-feud with the Hurricane.

Nevertheless, by 2004 it was obvious that there was nothing left for him to do in WWE. He had a lot of momentum in Hollywood, and became the most successful wrestler to ever transcend into movie stardom. So while he did leave early during the Ruthless Aggression Era, he did take part in some outstanding moments...because he's the Rock.
