50 Ruthless Aggression Era Superstars Ranked From Worst To Best

10. Triple H

808564

Pros:

1. Very good wrestler

2. Was the instrumental force behind Evolution

3. Everything about him just screamed ‘World Champion’

Cons:

1. Had a 'reign of terror' more devastating than Robespierre's

2. Put on too much bulk, which led to poor matches

3. Tore his other quad

HHH’s 2002 return and subsequent Royal Rumble win demonstrated that he was still tremendously popular and skilled as an athlete, despite a major quad tear putting him on the shelf for eight months. Though he was a face when he returned, HHH, like Orton, was a natural heel and was more comfortable aggravating fans than gaining their approval.

On the other hand, Triple H became infamous as one of the most hated people in all of pro wrestling for his alleged politicking, especially between 2002 and 2005. He was believed to have developed an incredible amount of backstage influence upon his return to active wrestling, especially after he married Stephanie McMahon.

Worse yet, by 2003 he put on so much muscle mass that he started to look more like one of those unnatural bodybuilders than as a wrestler. That added body mass (along with a supposedly well-deserved dose of cosmic justice) caused Triple H to tear his other quad in 2007, putting him out of action yet again.

Nevertheless, championships and accomplishments speak for themselves, and few WWE Superstars achieved the degree of success as HHH during the Ruthless Aggression Era.
