As one of WWE’s hottest acts during the Attitude Era, Jericho was almost the complete package of a wrestler that Vince was looking for. He had incredible technical skills, oozed charisma, and was a master speaker. His only real flaw was that he was short and lacked the bodybuilder’s physique. Of course, this is Chris Jericho we’re talking about, and he wouldn’t let something as insignificant as a lack of bulging muscles get in the way of his success.

Jericho was the first-ever WWF Undisputed Champion, which spoke loud and clear of his abilities as a draw and as an in-ring worker. Throughout the 2002-2008 period, Jericho’s matches were the highlights of most shows, and his rivalry with Shawn Michaels, both in 2003 and in 2008, was outstanding in every respect.

However, even Jericho suffered career setbacks. Despite being Undisputed Champion, he took a backseat to Stephanie McMahon, which led to an underwhelming World Title match at WrestleMania X8. Worse yet, he disappeared from the company for two years, which was a huge blow to RAW, as he was an excellent star that was needed to bridge the gap between veterans and rookies.

Final Rating: ****3/4
