The 'Attitude Era' was already in full swing by the time WrestleMania XIV came and went. Anyone revisiting for the main event between Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels, or another historic match like The Undertaker vs. Kane, might want to stop off at the start first to see one of the best 'Mania entrances ever. Yes, ever. That includes HBK's zipline moves two years prior, or anything big production from latter years.

Legion Of Doom duo Hawk and Animal returned to the fold for a tag-team Battle Royal. They were dubbed LOD 2000 (how current), and had a futuristic look to go along with new manager Sunny. The whole presentation was badass, and it’s a shame Hawk’s personal problems derailed their momentum later in the year. Nobody could've blamed the promotion for being swept up in LOD fever and putting the belts on them as soon as humanly possible.

Being honest, they needed that to hammer home just how impressive their new wrinkle was. The New Age Outlaws would’ve been fine if they'd lost to a tag they'd previously called old hat, and so would temp champs Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie. There's an argument to be made that Mick Foley and Terry Funk didn't need their painfully short title reign anyway. It did nothing for them.

Hawk and Animal had been revitalised with one entrance, for crying out loud. It's remarkable that Vince resisted the urge to throw his marketing might behind them and push Sunny as the WWF's top manager. That's how good their return at 'Mania was, people.
