Ringsiders were shocked out of their WrestleMania t-shirts by Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker's long running win streak at the 30th event. One guy's eye popping reaction became a meme overnight, for example. That was just the start of it. The air had been sucked right out of the place, because nobody in attendance could quite believe that a run lasting since 'Mania VII was now officially over.

There was a funeral-esque atmosphere in the Mercedes Benz Superdome straight after Brock pinned 'Taker's shoulders to the mat. A "Vickie Guerrero Invitational" bout for AJ Lee's Divas Title simply had no chance of succeeding in the death spot sandwiched between that streak ender and the main event three-way starring Daniel Bryan's quest to beat Randy Orton and Batista.

AJ retained her belt in front of a quiet live crowd stunned into silence by what they’d just witnessed. It’s almost eerie when watching this all over again. People did not know what to do with themselves. Some tried to get back onboard with the card by giving Lee, Alicia Fox, The Bella Twins, Tamina Snuka, Cameron, Emma, Eva Marie, Naomi, Layla, Natalya, Aksana, Rosa Mendes and Summer Rae some respect, but most in the 60,000+ strong mass of reeling humanity either stared at their feet or talked amongst themselves.

What's the sound of thousands simultaneously posting outraged feedback on Twitter? This, apparently. 'Mania XXX's penultimate showcase was the most deathly quiet a death spot had ever been. Someone had to go next, and the era dictated that it was the less important women's match. WWE would probs be smarter about things today.
