32. Jerry Lawler Vs Michael Cole, WrestleMania XXVII
A chronic encounter that foreshadowed a decade of sending tap-ins miles wide, WWE conspired to take the easiest booking task of 2011's WrestleMania and make an almighty f*cking hash of it.
Michael Cole was due a sh*tkicking, and he was due one from company icon (but WrestleMania debutant) Jerry Lawler. Instead, WWE stretched it out to an astonishing 13:45 and booked a dusty finish in order to put Cole over and stretch the programme out for two more pay-per-views.
The 'Show Of Shows' may still have been the company's 'Grandest Stage', but it permanently ceased to be WWE's final destination from that point on.

When not offering his voice up for daily wrestling podcasts, he can be found losing it singing far too loud watching his favourite bands play live. Follow him on X/Twitter - @MichaelHamflett
