50 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The 2020s (So Far)

31. PAC Vs. Gravity

PAC Gravity
AEW

PAC’s nickname is ‘The Man Gravity Forgot’.

Meanwhile, a wrestler named Gravity started to make appearances for All Elite Wrestling.

Fans on social media drew a connection and, in a bid for engagement, halfheartedly suggested that Tony Khan should book the match because the graphic would look funny for a brief moment.

Tony Khan booked the match for the July 26, 2023 Dynamite.

This was bad on multiple levels. Firstly, Gravity was a bit bad. Very green, he’d often get lost. Secondly, AEW was on the road to the first All In: London. This was not the time for cutesy booking designed to amuse the loyal defensive zealots who thought putting big match specialist Kenny Omega in a makeshift trio was a good idea.

Thirdly, it made PAC look stupid. He was called The Man Gravity Forgot because he was incredible in the air - not because a luchador, who debuted years after the nickname was coined, had ignored him. And yet, PAC attacked Gravity and shouted “Forget me not!” over and over again.

Dismally unfunny, this brutal attempt at irony wrestling was a terrifying reflection of AEW’s mentality. The Company That Portable People Meters Forgot really should’ve focused on the build to its most important show ever.
