48. Aleister Black Is DONE Talking In Riddles

Aleister Black made his shock return to WWE in April 2025. Right up there with Eric Bischoff appearing on Raw in 2002, it was a surreal reminder that one must never say never in this crazy business.

After setting his sights on the Miz, Black did a pre-taped promo shrouded in his usual darkness. He was hardly going to cut the thing at the end of a rainbow, was he?

To start, he said that you probably expected him to talk in riddles. No longer. Black had buried that part of himself - ritualistically, and violently!

That was a relief. The cryptic nonsense was getting a bit old; he needed to be more concise, clear and focused.

He then cut a cryptic promo that never added up to anything coherent.

“This is more than just the fog,” Black said. And thank God. It’s boring when it’s just the fog, isn’t it? We’ve all had more than enough fog in our lives, everybody can agree on that.

Black also said he is just the man that whispers in shadows, “despite what you want me to do, despite what you think I might do.”

That line was telling, because it’s the essence of everything this guy says. All of his mindless arrogance is some derivation of “Your feeble mind cannot comprehend these words I say!”

Well, congratulations. You nailed it. Everybody thinks you talk utter rubbish.
