6 AEW Fight For The Fallen Predictions You Need To Know

4. FTR vs. Lucha Brothers

Lucha Brothers FTR
AEW

Not all booking tropes are all bad, all of the time, and this is a good example of 50/50 being the right move - assuming Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler pick up the expected victory.

The Lucha Brothers defeated FTR and The Young Bucks in Fyter Fest's outstanding eight-man tag. It happened when the surprising cohesion between the Bucks and FTR fell apart, allowing Lucha Brothers and The Butcher and The Blade to take control, score the W, and set us up for this week's bout. FTR lost because of the brothers Jackson, not themselves. Defeating Pentagon and Fenix would therefore be earned.

There's also a strong argument to be made that FTR shouldn't lose until they eventually get their Young Bucks match, which could go down at All Out. They'll be booked to look strong every step of the way and defeating the Lucha Brothers, who have felled the Jacksons in the past, could be a big part of that.

Expect another banger. FTR have delivered to ridiculous levels since coming to AEW and the Lucha Bros' bomb-first style presents a compelling styles clash that'll likely form the story's basis.

Winners: FTR
