5. Tim Storm Vs Jax Dane: No Disqualification Match
Weeks of building animosity between Tim Storm and Jax Dane's manager, Danny Deals, led to the return of Dane and the setting up of this match. This feud seemed rather weak after the Momma Storm angle between Danny Deals and Tim Storm in recent weeks, so the return of Dane gave it the reinvigoration it desperately needed.
The match got off to a fiery start, with Jax Dane ambushing Tim Storm as he emerged from the entrance curtain. Key moments of action included a brawl through the crowd and Storm launching Dane into the Crockett Cup twice in succession.
The ending of this match was disappointingly predictable. Dane went for a spear on Storm who sidestepped, causing Dane to hit a chair he placed in the turnbuckle ropes, allowing Storm to pick up the win with his Perfect Storm finisher. Storm then laid out Deals with a double serving of the Perfect Storm, but NWA could have done more with the Dane vs Storm angle.
It seems bizarre bringing Dane back just to lose, and the rivalry could have drawn a lot more heat if Deals had interfered and cost Tim Storm the match instead of having Storm win clean.
