6 Bobby Roode Feuds WWE Should Book On Main Roster

2. Matt Hardy

Hardy would be another familiar face for the former NXT champion, but also a fresh rival. They wrestled on Impact without ever really crossing paths that notably. Roode spent far more time in the ring with Matt’s brother Jeff before his departure from the company in 2016.

Later that summer, Matt introduced the ‘Broken' Matt Hardy character which we have seen glimpses of since his shock WWE return at WrestleMania 33. WWE will eventually fully pull the trigger on the broken gimmick and unleash Hardy on the main event singles scene, where Roode would be a great opponent for him to mix with.

The slickness of Roode, both inside the ropes and out, compared to the 'Broken’ chaos would be an absorbing matchup, and would allow the 40-year-old to thrive in the cowardly heel role like no other potential adversary on this list.

And before mixing it in singles competition, how about a Beer Money reunion? Roode and James Storm dominated tag team wrestling in TNA for half a decade and it would be surreal to see them clash with Matt and Brother Nero on WWE programming.

Storm is still signed to the newly-dubbed Global Force Wrestling, after a failed stint in NXT in 2015, but WWE might consider bringing him back for an opportunity which is this good. Also, Matt is currently on RAW, so there are a couple of obstacles to this one. But can’t a man dream?
