5. The Referee Gets Bitten

We get a story of a former WWE referee named Mike who Randy Savage decided should celebrate his birthday by conquering his crippling fear of snakes, and it turns out Jake was just the guy to help give him this gift. Macho Man hooked Mike from behind while Jake goes for the bag and the ref is fighting for dear life. He kicks Jake in the testicles and headbutts Savage and all three men go down in a tangled heap. Mike starts yelling that he's been bitten but Jake doesn't believe him until he sees the fang marks on his eye. The poor guy bolts out of the locker room, Jake feels awful and Randy stats guilting him over it when it was his idea to begin with. The Snake goes looking for him to apologize but can't find him, thinking he's probably going to get fired. Finally he locates him right before the matches start and Mike begins begging Jake not to tell Vince because HE doesn't want to get fired. Turns out Savage got to Mike and convinced him that he's damaged the snake's psyche, since once a serpent strikes you it must eat you or the cycle is not complete. The referee getting away without being consumed did deep psychological damage to the animal that Vince spent thousands of dollars on and was now going to starve itself to death and die. Mike was aghast that he was going to be fired for mentally scarring Damien.
