6 Losses That Need To Happen At WWE Live At MSG

MSG is the perfect spot for New Day to drop the Tag Titles to the Dudleyz.

This coming Saturday, October 3rd, live from the world-famous Madison Square Garden in New York City is the latest WWE Network live event. Just as was the case with the Tokyo-broadcasted Beast In The East show, Brock Lesnar is the biggest name on the marquee.

Unlike poor Kofi Kingston on the last go around, Brock's opponent for this show has been given a little more attention in the buildup. Big Show has been railing through wrestlers left and right and doing his very best to prove that some jobber isn't walking into that arena to face off against The Beast Incarnate. Perhaps the odds aren't as stacked against him as some might believe.

Another match that is truly up for grabs is the WWE Tag Team Championship between New Day and their challengers, The Dudley Boyz. Bubba Ray and Devon have been riding a big wave of nostalgia since re-entering their former employer and at least one more run with the gold seems inevitable.

New York would give them a hero's welcome but that doesn't mean that New Day needs to abruptly end yet another tag team title reign prematurely.

Those matches, as well as the rest of the card, are previewed in this article from the perspective of the potential losers. Who should lose is contrasted against who needs to lose, so let's hear it for the losers...

6. Randy Orton Vs. Sheamus

It's better to just go ahead and get this one out of the way. These guys have been rivals forever for reasons that are unknown by this point. WWE insists on having Randy Orton vs. Sheamus matches even though it's almost guaranteed to be completely underwhelming.

They're both perfectly fine wrestlers, this is just a really stale matchup.

Who Needs To Lose: Randy Orton

Sheamus is the current Money in the Bank briefcase holder. He very well could be WWE World Heavyweight Champion at some point over the next year so the logical thing would be to keep him as strong as possible so it's all the more believable when cash-in time finally comes.

Of course, WWE likes to book the briefcase holders as losers, but that doesn't mean it's right.

Who Will Likely Lose: Sheamus

Orton lost at SummerSlam against Sheamus, so it's Sheamus' turn to lose. 50/50 booking is a good enough reason to make that call. One thing to look forward to in this match is the MSG crowd will most likely be rowdy.

Unless WWE has something amazing planned for what feels like the 800th match in the Orton vs. Sheamus series, New York will hijack it.
