6 Losses That Need To Happen At WWE NXT TakeOver: Respect

NXT TakeOver: Respect comes to us live on the WWE Network this Wednesday night, and it has a history-making match as the main event. Not only will Bayley will defend her NXT Women's Championship in the main event of that card but it will be contested in a 30 minute Iron (Wo)Man match.

Considering the last encounter between Bayley and Sasha was a solid Match of the Year contender, there are plenty of reasons to look forward to this bout. With Banks firmly established on the main roster at this point then she seems like a solid pick to lose to the new Women's Champ.

As straightforward as that outcome seems, there are other factors to consider. Their last encounter was a much talked about bout and this upcoming match is highly anticipated. WWE could feel tempted to stretch this already great series into a three match affair. 

If there's money to made - and there is - then it's definitely an option.

This match, along with the other five announced for the show, will all be analysed from the perspective of the potential losers. The wrestler or team that needs to lose is contrasted against who is more likely to lose. Much of this show seems predictable, but at least one deviation from the expected is possible.

NXT newcomer Asuka, formerly known as Kana, recently signed with the company but not without some drama. Emma & Dana Brooke interrupted her debut and unceremoniously shooed her out of the ring. 

When William Regal set up this match between Asuka and Brooke, Dana seemed to question what she got herself into after viewing a video of her laying into a punching bag.

Who Needs To Lose: Dana Brooke

Asuka is the new talent and comes with some pretty heavy hype. Like with any debuting wrestler to a new promotion it makes sense that she gets a win in her first match. The win helps her get perceived as credibly as intended. 

Dana Brooke is a good first win since she can be a stepping stone to the upper-tier talent.

Who Will Likely Lose: Dana Brooke

There's always the possibility that Emma will interfere to spoil Asuka's first match, but that doesn't seem so likely. Some interference is a possibility, but it will backfire on the heels if it happens. There can always be interference to give Asuka a loss in a second match against one of these women, but this night needs to be about Asuka.
