6 Major Impacts Triple H Has Made As A WWE Executive

6. Longer Championship Title Reigns

Triple H is an old school wrestling fan, and that influence is shown a number of ways currently on WWE television. Taking a look back the last couple of years, we are seeing longer title reigns for the champions. This was showcased specifically during the 434 day WWE Championship title reign by CM Punk in 2012. We also saw this with Randy Orton last year when he cashed in his Money In The Bank contract at SummerSlam, and defeated Daniel Bryan. Orton hung on to the the title up until WrestleMania 30, with the exception of a few weeks when the title was vacated. During the past year, we have also seen the World Championship and the WWE Championship become unified, so we truly only have one Heavyweight Champion in the WWE. There are rumblings that the US Championship and the Intercontinental Championship may also become unified. If this occurs, WWE will only have three major mens titles (WWE/World, Intercontinental & Tag Team Championships), which places greater importance on those titles. Gone are the days of the Attitude Era when titles would get switched on consecutive nights. As an executive, Triple H has brought back prestige to the championships.
