Suddenly, WWE Has Just Solved One Of Its Biggest Problems (WWE News)

House shows are set for a major comeback in WWE. Triple H and Nick Khan agree they're necessary.

Both Triple H and Nick Khan agree that a sweeping return for non-televised WWE live events could be necessary to help develop younger talent and give those on the roster more reps away from episodes of Raw, SmackDown, NXT and PLEs.

The Wrestling Observer reports that "more house shows are coming" in the near future. They also aggregated a write-up by PWInsider on a recent WWE town hall meeting that broached the subject of live touring and how important it's viewed internally by upper management.

WWE largely stopped live touring when Endeavor/TKO took over in 2023. The promotion chiefly produces house show loops during select international tours (mainly in Europe), but they don't run many domestic house cards in the United States or Canada anymore.

That could be set to change though.

During the call, WWE higher-ups noted that they plan to strike a balance between giving wrestlers enough room to hone their skills without running them into the ground and risking injuries that'd derail creative plans. However, as previously noted by top names like Drew McIntyre in various interviews, working frequently can actually have some sneaky benefits.

Workers are able to iron out the kinks before a major PLE match, and there's a 'road ready' sensibility when live event loops are on the schedule. That can make some on the roster more robust, which is a cool upside.

Finding the right balance will be important, of course, and it's good to know that WWE are aware they can't simply hammer the roster with relentless matches every single week like back in the 1980s and 90s. As noted in the Observer, the next live tour starts on 11 July in New Mexico, and there are further events planned for Pennsylvania, California, Illinois, Virginia, New Hampshire, Georgia and South Carolina.
