UFC star Chase Sherman is not impressed with the Young Bucks. "Grown men watch this," is how he captioned the Bucks' multiple missed dropkick spots at ROH Final Battle, as if they were an affront to the concept of masculinity.

It was peak Young Bucks, but metafiction has its place in every other art form - so why not wrestling, in the correct context (more on that imminently)? Why is this debate still happening? Fair play to Nick and Matt: they're incredibly clever, zeitgeist-grabbing wrestlers. They've basically tapped into pulse of the awful modern world, and trolled everybody into getting over.

The responses ranged from predictable to morbidly hilarious. Former UFC fighter turned aspirational pro wrestler Phil Baroni chimed in by decrying how ineffective finishers are in this day and age - a worthier argument, but one framed hilariously. He mourned how finishers in 2017 no longer possess the gravitas of the...Shake, Rattle And Roll. I wonder where he's trying to get a job. Even if he wasn't sucking up to Road Dogg, Honky Tonk was a disqualification specialist.
