6 New Directions For WWE After SummerSlam 2017
2. Finally Getting To A Fully Fledged Shane Vs. KO Feud
Bye bye for now, AJ Styles, and thanks for the superb job you've done helping to set up Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens. After SummerSlam, the issues are firmly between Shane and KO; the United States Title doesn't even come into it for Owens right now, because he will argue he needs to eliminate McMahon first before refocusing on titles.
SmackDown will either feature a fiery face-to-face exchange or Shane will appear apologetic towards Owens only for the heel to slap him and show other signs of disrespect. It'd be cool to see Daniel Bryan become involved too, if only to lecture Shane on the importance of keeping things together. He is the Commissioner of the show, after all, and is supposed to be the GM's superior.
The training wheels are now off. Right in time for Hell In A Cell on 8 October, a match will be signed between Shane O'Mac and Owens. Logically, it'd also take place inside the titular Cell as some form of grudge match should. WWE will feel it's time to let these guys loose on one another soon.
