6 New Directions For WWE After SummerSlam 2017

1. A Singles War Between Braun Strowman & Brock Lesnar

It's a similar scenario with Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. The fans in Brooklyn loved Strowman, and one gets the sense the roof may have popped off the Barclays Center had Braun won the Universal Title. That wasn't the plan though, although it looks like putting Braun up against Lesnar very much is.

Listen to that excitement when Lesnar and Strowman looked like they might trade fisticuffs mid-ring at SummerSlam, then recognise the boos that both Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe got for interrupting the staredown. Further, that electricity when Strowman blasted Brock through two announce tables and dumped another one on top of him is hard to manufacture.

Vince McMahon must smell money in a one-on-one Braun vs. Brock match on pay-per-view. No Mercy is coming up on 24 September, and that may be the perfect event name for such a 'Monster vs. Monster' attraction; Strowman has been excellent this year, so he deserves a crack at the Universal Title. Even in defeat, he'd still benefit from facing Lesnar.
