Next up, was the UK Championship match, as inaugural champion Tyler Bate defended against 'The Bruiserweight' Pete Dunne, who earned this opportunity by defeating Trent Seven on Friday night's excellent WWE UK Championship Special on the WWE Network. Before the match, Jim Ross was introduced to be the announcer for this contest, and he received a massive ovation from the live crowd in the Allstate Arena. Well deserved indeed.

This was the biggest test for the UK talents to date, performing in front of a huge crowd in one of the best wrestling cities on the plane. Both men looked ready, and they started off with some crisp, beautiful British style technical wrestling. Tyler is phenomenally talented for a man his age, and Dunne fits his character like a glove, looking like a guy who will kick your arse and enjoy every second.

Both competitors clearly know each other so well, and the British Strong Style partners treated us to a phenomenal match. If this is the kind of action we will see on a regular basis, we need a weekly WWE UK TV show, and as soon as possible. The Chicago crowd also showed their appreciation, chanting "UK" and "fight forever" at the combatants. Fantastic to see an American crowd putting over the international competitors so well.

Dunne claimed the win with the Bitter End, capping off an incredible contest. I can't recommend this match enough: go out of your way to see it.
