6 Predictions For NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III

1. The 'Glorious' Reign Continues

Drew McIntyre made a shock return to WWE at TakeOver Orlando, and has since spent several months blitzing through opponent after opponent en route to the top, with a win over Killian Dain propelling him to number one contender's status back in June.

He's far from NXT's most exciting wrestler, but Bobby Roode has been a dominant heel champion. 'The Glorious One' has cheated his way past everyone he's faced since taking the NXT Title from Shinsuke Nakamura in January. WWE are presenting McIntyre as his strongest challenge yet, but while a title change isn't out of the question, Roode successfully retaining is likelier.

There's a strong case to be made for giving McIntyre the NXT Championship, but rumours that he's on his way to the main roster gave gathered strength in recent weeks. Sure, he has only been in NXT for four months, but McIntyre has been on Raw and SmackDown before, and has improved immensely since his last main roster spell. A crooked loss here would be the perfect way to facilitate that move.

As for Roode? Expect the win to amplify his arrogance even further, before somebody like Aleister Black emerges as his next challenger.
