6 Questions Stone Cold Steve Austin Failed To Ask Vince McMahon

1. Will The Dead Man Have One Last Ride?

If the decision to end the Undertaker's streak was made at the last hour, how much did it have to do with the shape of the ageing legend? McMahon spoke candidly about the Undertaker, referring to him by his real name (Mark Calaway) and speaking of how much Taker respects the tradition of the business. As many fans know, the tradition that McMahon was alluding to was that a big star on his way out the door should "put over" a younger star by suffering a loss to help the younger star build his or her reputation. Sometimes, this tradition is most important in a star's last ever wrestling match (think of Austin himself dropping the World Title to the Rock in his last match, at WrestleMania 19). Fans around the World would have loved Austin to ask about the condition of Taker after the concussion he suffered at the hands of Brock Lesnar, and the ride to the hospital that the chairman is said to have taken alongside his longest running servant. With Sting recently making his first WWE appearance at Survivor Series, fans now more than ever are wondering if the Icon vs Icon dream match between Taker and Sting could happen. Unfortunately, we're no closer to knowing if Mark Calaway will ever lace his boots again. Austin missed the perfect chance to ask McMahon if the Dead Man will rise again.
