6 Reasons Bray Wyatt Must Win At WWE Extreme Rules 2017

6. Bray Needs A Big Victory

Bray Wyatt's tenure in WWE started off hot, but soon grew predictable. The story was clear - Wyatt and his cronies would target an individual, leading to a number of 'spooky' promos and frustrating matches, with Bray ultimately losing in the end. Even feuds that he theoretically won (Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton) saw him lose steam coming out of them.

Despite this, Wyatt is still positioned as one of WWE's top stars. His WrestleMania record might read 0-3, but you will struggle to find three bigger names than the men who have conquered him - The Undertaker, John Cena and Randy Orton. The days of Wyatt being shoehorned into middling programs with Kofi Kingston and The Miz are long gone. Saying that Bray Wyatt needs a big win is borderline superfluous at this point, but that doesn't make it any less true. Bray needs a big win to re-establish himself in the eyes of the fans, and what better setting for that win to come?

A win on Sunday would go a long way to rebuilding Bray after a disastrous few months.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
