6 Reasons Chris Jericho's 2014 WWE Run Was A Failure

4. WWE Brought Jericho Back Without A Truly Great Plan For Him

It's clear and obvious that Chris Jericho was brought back to WWE because the company went into shock over having to deal without having Daniel Bryan as the number two babyface, and Jericho was shoved into the position. WWE's creative team isn't "pro wrestling" savvy enough it seems to come up with a way to re-introduce him that didn't completely show that even Jericho himself had no idea why he was there. It's as if the company was like, here's a new emperor, but they shoved him out in front of the people before he had the time to put on his metaphorical clothes. Of course, being the pure entertainer that Jericho is, he definitely manned up to the call and walked out there metaphorically naked, but in feuding with the likes of the top-notch Bray Wyatt, was IMMEDIATELY exposed as being naked for the world to see, and their feud had absolutely no heat whatsoever. Like serving up a weak twig to a buzzsaw, Jericho was chopped to smithereens in this run before he could even get started.
