6 Reasons WWE Money In The Bank 2017 Ladder Match Will Be The Best Yet

It may be somewhat surprising to western fans, but ladder matches aren't such a common thing in Japan. New Japan Pro Wrestling has only ever had two ladder matches, a somewhat obscure three-way match won by Manabu Nakanishi in 2007 and a five-star classic between Kenny Omega and Michael Elgin in 2016. Shinsuke Nakamura wasn't a part of either.

This means (obviously) that Money In The Bank will represent the first ladder match of Shinsuke Nakamura's career. Inexperience can often lead to a number of issues in ladder matches, but it is only with ladders that Nakamura is inexperienced - the man is a creative 15 year veteran, after all.

Following on from his somewhat disappointing main roster debut at Backlash, Nakamura must be fired up to make a true statement at Money In The Bank. The King of Strong Style remains one of the planet's best wrestlers after all. For years, fans may have dreamed of seeing what Nakamura would pull out in a ladder match - on June 18 those dreams come true.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
