6 Reasons WWE Money In The Bank 2017 Ladder Match Will Be The Best Yet

1. The Prospect Of Hindering Jinder

The prospect of the winner hanging the briefcase over the head of the champion is always entertaining. 'When will he cash it in?' has become somewhat tired, but that doesn't make the cash-ins any less exciting. The tension created by the existence of the briefcase becomes a story in itself.

If Jinder Mahal remains WWE Champion, this tension gets ramped up tenfold. No matter how hard WWE tries, Jinder is going to be considered an unworthy champion for the next few months at least. Just weeks before winning the title the man was being soundly defeated by Mojo Rawley, and he has losses to Curtis Axel, El Torito and Alex Riley on his résumé.

In reality, Jinder should be expected to lose the overwhelming majority of singles matches he competes in. What odds does he have of surviving as champion when he has to face not only a challenger but a hypothetical cash-in to boot?

If Randy Orton remained champion, then the future would be somewhat boring - man wins briefcase, cashes in on Orton, rinse and repeat. With Jinder as champion, you have a title-holder who knows in his heart of hearts that he has lucked into his position, with the fear of an even luckier man waiting in the shadows. It could make for some excellent television, not to mention some excellent character development for Jinder Mahal.

These six (potentially seven) men have a real opportunity in St. Louis on June 18. Not only could they tell one of 2017's greatest wrestling stories - they could also reinvigorate the entire Money in the Bank gimmick in the process.
