6 Things That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: San Antonio
5. If It Ain't Broke, Don't Break It
Tye Dillinger takes on Eric Young in San Antonio, with The Perfect 10 looking to improve on what is currently the worst record in NXT TakeOver history. Dillinger is 0-3 at NXT special shows (0-4 if we're including dark matches), piling up losses against Apollo Crews, Almas and Bobby Roode. Somehow, he has become one of the most popular performers on the entire roster, and has taken sole possession of an actual number.
Dillinger has to start winning eventually, right? His opponent in San Antonio is Eric Young, leader of SAnitY and the latest in the long line of maniacal faction leaders that aren't actually that threatening. If this match were happening six months down the line a Dillinger would be guarantees. But it isn't, and he isn't.
Eric Young needs to be established in some form or another, and Tye Dillinger seems to be popular whether or not he wins. Heck, he seems to get more popular every time he loses. NXT's babyface roster needs a major revamp, and whilst The Perfect 10 may be the top good guy going forward, sacrificing Young along the way would be madness.
