6 Things You Need To Know About Big Cass' WWE Release

1. WWE Didn't "Wish Him Well In His Future Endeavours"

Typical WWE protocol calls for the company to wish released performers "all the best in their future endeavours". A quick look at the WWE.com report on his release shows they didn't do that with Big Cass.

His news report simply read, "WWE has come to terms on the release of William Morrissey (Big Cass)". That was it, there was no well-wishing and certainly no further context on the reasons why Cass had been terminated. It's unlike WWE not to cheerfully wish departing talent the very best when they're on the way out the door.

This suggests that Cass didn't mutually agree to his contract being torn up and things ended on very bad terms between he and WWE. The phrase "come to terms" does hint that things were mutual, granted, but it's distinctly odd of WWE to release such a brief, emotionless statement without their trademark line.

Something about this just doesn't add up. Cass has gone from somebody WWE had high hopes for to someone they couldn't wait to get rid of in less than a year.
