6 Times John Cena Quickly Rose Above Injury

1. Broken Nose (2015)

At first glance, Seth Rollins' leaping knee to the face didn't look particularly punishing, just a routine spot for any wrestling match. Cena crumpled to the mat, and soon after revealed the alarming damage: a broken nose that swelled up to the size of a plantain. Cena gutted out the remainder of the match with compromised breathing, providing the world with some astounding viral photos in the aftermath. Cena took a bit of time to get his body sorted out, and returned just in time for SummerSlam weekend about three and a half weeks after sustaining the injury. After the pay-per-view, it was life as usual for Cena, who took to the house show circuit in matches with both Rollins and Kevin Owens.
